Concrete Contractors and Masonry professionals know that only one international convention brings together contractors, suppliers, industry educators, and innovators together each year on a grand scale. The annual World of Concrete Show convenes each winter at the Las Vegas Convention Center, in most years drawing in excess of 50,000 visitors, making it easily the world’s largest event for the concrete construction industry. In many years, WOC attracts up to 1500 exhibiting companies, occupying more than 700,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space.
WOC 2021 will operate it’s trade show on June 8-10, 2021, with an additional day of educational seminars on June 7th. Postponed by several months from the convention’s typical date, the 2021 Show represents some departures from the normal experience:
- This year’s show takes place in June, a more active time for contractors. Delayed COVID-19 pandemic, WOC has opted to operate an in-person convention, rather than a virtual trade show, to ensure a robust experience for those in attendance. The show was moved to June, 2021 to allow for preparation for a safe in-person event.
- World of Concrete 2021 is the first major convention to return to Las Vegas since the beginning of pandemic-related restrictions and cancellations. This year’s show is being watched closely by many industries, as a major step in the reopening of major commercial activity and in-person events in the United States.
- Because of the seasonal change for this year’s show, and the transition of convention business, this show is expected to be lighter in attendance that other years. However – keep in mind that “lighter” means that attendance has been forecast to still exceed 25,000 attendees, along with well over 600 exhibitors!
